The Treatment Area
The treament area at Midway is a multi-purpose area. This area is used to prepare your pets for surgery and to administer treatments to pets that have been hospitalized for illness or injuries. This area is also used to administer treaments to pets during their regular visits, such as ear cleanings, nail trims, wing trimming and other treatments that cannot be administered in the exam room due to limited space. The perimeter of this room houses your pets during their hospitalization. Whether they are recooperating from surgery or resting during treatments, they are under the watchful eyes of our trained Veterinary staff.
Medicine in Motion
Multi-tasking is an art!
Behind the scenes.
All creatures, great and small. True Value.
At Midway, your pet is continually monitored from the time you bring him/her in until the time we return him/her to your care. We do bloodwork and a physical exam to verify that your pet is healthy enough for the procedure. As your pet is being prepped, its vital signs are continually monitored. Throughout the course of the surgery, Dr. MacQueen takes her time and does a thorough job to negate the likelihood of any side effects. She administers pain medications and antibiotics to discourage infection. One of our veterinary assistants is always present and monitoring the animals respiration and heart rate through out the surgery. After the surgery is over, your animal receives individual attention from one of our assistants until it is fully awake and maintaining its own body heat. Throughout the afternoon, our entire staff checks on the animal, offering love and comfort as we walk by.
We believe that every animal deserves individual attention and special care.
