The Surgical Suite
The surgical suite at Midway Veterinary Hospital is equipped with some of the most innovative technology available today. For sterilization reasons, your pet's pre-anesthesia blood work, pre-sedation, and surgical prepping are performed in the treatment room. While in the surgery room, your pet is monitored by a surgical monitoring machine much like the ones found in human hospitals. This machine monitors your pet's heart rate, respiration and oxygen levels during the surgical procedure. Dr. MacQueen performs surgery on a variety of species, ranging from dogs and cats, to avians, reptiles, rodents, rabbits and an endless list of wildlife. Because of this, you will find the surgery room completely equipped to handle a wide range of surgical proceedures.
