Meet Our Staff

Upon graduating from the Lousiana State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1979, Dr. Ruth Ann MacQueen began practicing veterinary medicine with a passion that has never stopped. Starting in 1984, she has owned and operated a practice in Chesapeake, VA.
Dr. MacQueen has at one time held offices in the following associations: SHRVMA (President and Treasurer), Mid Atlantic States Association of Avian Veterinarians (Treasurer), Chesapeake Humane Society (Treasurer), The American Tibetan Mastiff Association (Treasurer), and the Animal Control Advisory Board (Chairperson).
Her current memberships include the AVMA, the MASAAV, and the Chesapeake Humane Society. She has also been a member of AAV since 1989. Outside of her dedication in Veterinary Medicine, Dr. MacQueen holds a special interest in the care and training of her Tibetan Mastiffs, some of which are Champions in their own right.
