Merry Christmas!
Our Santa Pals Pictures were once again a jolly good time, and we had an amazing turn out. Every available appointment slot was booked- and quite a few were DOUBLE booked. In addition to our scheduled appointments we also had several walk-ins, so the photographer, the Elves, and Santa were kept quite busy.
It was a great day, and it raised almost $200 for the Dizzy Fund! You can view the photos here.
As a reminder, our holiday food drive continues until December 23. We are accepting food goods for the Food Bank of Hampton Roads and pet food for Chesapeake Animal Control. Your donation will get you a 10% off voucher.
The Dizzy Fund
The Dizzy Fund was started by Dr. MacQueen to help offset the cost of veterinary care for animals in need. It was named for a former (much missed) member of our hospital menagerie, Dizzy the cat. An orange cat rescued from Animal Control, Dizzy had Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition which caused his motor skills to be off. Dizzy became a mascot of sorts for Midway, and the fund serves as a reminder that each and every animal is special. Our hospital events and contests generally benefit The Dizzy Fund.
The video below shows a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia.
